We acted like kids and played hide and seek which was actually really fun!
And He made me cut his lovely hair and he shaved his beard off! :( (He still looks handsome though)

To do list: Recipes

I seriously love to cook and bake, I come from a family of good cooks so I think growing up making bread with granddad and cakes with mom has rubbed off on me.
I really want to make more and try different recipes this year so I thought I would make a 'to do list'
So here it is...
I shall add more when I come accross something yummy.
Here's a few photos of our past baking experiences...

    Glass painting!

Today me and Tom decided to get our Art on and paint some old glass jars.
As you know from my previous post Tom is having a bedroom makeover, so we thought we would paint some jars to put pens, pencils and things in them to keep on his new desk...

I love glass painting and have done it many times before, it so easy. All you need is something made of glass, it can be a jar, a mirror, a picture frame, anything you like! And glass paints, which can sometimes be pricey depending on where you buy. Mine were from Hobbycraft and they came in a set for around £15 but they last a loooong time

     I love that colour blue!

Of course Tom wanted to do a Wolves one (which is his favourite football team in case you didn't know)
I was trying to keep within the colour scheme of his bedroom so I went for blue and yellow stripes.

I decided to do some experimenting with different painting techniques ;)
    I cut a make-up sponge into a circle to make a stamp...

    This was the result...

Quite good for an experiment I reckon :P

The good thing about using jars is that you can do a lot with them, you can use them as storage pots like we are going to, or you can put fairy lights, candles or even a light bulb in them to make these very pretty lights.
You could even coil wire around the lid to make a hook and hang them in your garden! how pretty would these colourful lights look hanging from a tree... you might have to use fairy lights so nothing catches fire though! but then the candle wont blow out in the wind.

They look better in real life and in a dark room ;)
Also you get a lovely colourful shadow from them if you place them next to a wall!

    I wish I wish I wish...

     I had curly hair!

My hair is naturally pin straight and I am the only one in my family who's hair is! everyone else has slight curls

    Before....

    After!!

My hair hates being curly, I have to use super hot curling irons or sleep in rollers
Even then it doesn't last long :(
Today I had nothing to do so I spent about 2 hours curling my hair,
I then went to walk Molly around the park, It was wet and cold so all the curls fell out..

Oh well maybe I'll get a perm ;)

    Tom's bedroom

Recently Tom acquired a new bedroom! which is very good news as he had been sleeping in the conservatory... Anyway he desperately wanted to decorate because black flowery wallpaper wasn't really his type of thing aha.

So we spent a few days planning colour schemes and designs and this is what we settled on...

Magnolia is the main colour, blue is on the feature wall. The carpet was already black and practically new so we didn't change that. Tom loves orange so we thought bed sheets? Cushions? A rug? Yesss

I love this colour scheme, blue and orange look so good together!
Here are a few photos of the work in process...

Me doing all the work! blurry photo :(

     Tom "having a break"

The magnolia looks darker when it's dry

     Haha!

Aww I ruin this photo Tom looks cute

I'll update you with the finished project soon.

    Graze!

One of my sort of new year resolutions was to lose some weight and get fitter so I thought "I'll start to eat healthy things"
So far I haven't lived up to my resolution too well... But thinking about healthy foods I wanted to share this with you

Me and Tom ordered a free box of healthy snacks after seeing the advert on TV.
I love getting nice packages in the post and this was lovely .

I had a random box but you can pick and choose what you want in yours.
    I got...
Fruit and seed flapjacks: Super yummy
Korean chilli rice crackers: Super spicy!
Love mix: My favourite! I love sweet berries
Natural vanilla seeds: My mom's favourite :)

The packaging is 100% recycled and really cute, I loved the personal booklets you get.

They tell you all the health benefits and what's in each  punnet

You also get little vouchers you can give to your friends and family :)

You can get your first box free here http://www.graze.com/ If you want to, you can get them delivered every week to wherever you want, home or work, and at £3.49 I think they're cheap as chips, but a lot healthier ;)
Oh but be careful, If you only want one free box like me, you will have to cancel your weekly orders after your free one is delivered
