Extras!

Yesterday me and Tom went to Shrewsbury to be extras in a film!
It's a thriller called European Psycho...
Ambitious Cambridge scientist John, annoyed by his girlfriend's abortions and frustrated by his own dull existence, embarks on a “mission of justice” slaying elite villains and removing “social waste”.

When Tom first suggested that I be in the film as well as him I really didn't want to do it, I'm really awkward and shy so I just went into panic at the thought of being in a film. Especially when Tom got the dress code via e-mail, which was Jeans and t-shirts for men, but for women the dress code was leather leggings! leopard print! Flashy jewellery and high heels! I just thought no way am I dressing like that! I don't even own anything like that haha.

So I just went along anyway dressed as I usually do. We arrived really early so we had a walk around the town and the river which was really pretty.

The set was at a night club called Fever which is a 70's bar ha, It was a bit grotty and smelly :( eww.
But we met with one of the directors outside who told us where to go, there were a handful of other people there and none of the girls were dressed like the e-mail said so I felt a bit better and agreed to be in the film, which made Tom happier aha.

We waited around for hours because not many other extras turned up on time ergh! So while we were waiting  the director told us that the costume designer was going to take us one by one and dress us up! oh no!! So she took the first girl into a different room. She came out dressed in a leopard dress, black tights and heels. At this point, I was trying to hide.

Eventually I was picked, the costume designer was from Estonia and she was very forward and not shy about undressing me! but I was luckier than some of the others, she chose shorts, liney tights and a weird necklace for me, it wasn't so bad but I still didn't like it much!

After not all the people expected there turned up, they dragged in people from the street to fill up the club. We had to "dance" to trance music, It was kind of fun at the start, but after the 100th take I was bored and hungry and wanted to leave.

It was very professionally done, there were lots of equipment and bossy directors. The main actor was Lee Ingleby who's been in quite a few good TV programmes and films including HARRY POTTER! yeahhh he played Stan Shunpike!!

The set...

You can tell it was a 70's bar lol!

We were starving at the end of the day, so Tom took me for a meal in Whetherspoons, then we caught the train home.

I was so sleepy! to much skankin in da club ;)
